^^^Yeah, the parking lights definitely need to go. I need to find some decent hyper-white replacements. Maybe Polarg.

How about a far away picture to get an idea what it looks like coming from a distance. Looks brighter than the HID's. No?

Make a proper writeup for a newbie! This is a great lighting mod, only one I'm tempted to do.

It's a really easy job. I wrote a little DIY in another post in the thread. If there is enough interest, I can buy the proper items for you, assemble everything precisely as I did, down to where I used the 3M double sided tape and sell it as a pre-fabbed kit.

I'd basically charge for the cost of items (including wire taps) + labor. PM me if anyone is interested.

You can do this with ambers which is what the VERY first person to do this used, and I was inspired by him, but ambers don't look very nice. So yes, you'll need a pair of clears to have this looking right.

I have been getting an extraordinary amount of compliments and stares ever since I did this. It really did come out factory perfect. The only other solution I can see doing to make this just about the cleanest install possible without taping anything is actually inserting a CCFL tube directly into the sidemarker.

Just finished mine. Here are some pics. Sorry for the quality, still learning this camera for night use. I used two on each side as one wasn't really enough. And used some mirror tape behind them to help direct the light out through the reflector instead behind the bumper.

Very nice job Solo.

I really like this mod I was afraid it might be too bright! For your pics it looks like the level of brightness is just about right.

Want to post a list of materials and any tips/ tricks ya got?

Well done Sir!

Upon re-looking at Arnold pics I have to ask: are his CCFL brighter than yours?

His appear that way and it's hard to tell if it is camera/lighting differences or they really ARE brighter. Depends on the inverter I suppose.

They are bright. Just my camera settings. Plus it wasn't completely dark outside yet like in his.
