I know this is probably an overly-repeated question, but I am looking to put these on my 2008 350Z.

I have read in many places that these only work with the 2003-2005 model years. First, is this true??? ...or will they work with my model year as well?

Second of all, what did they change about the tail lights from 2005 to 2006 that makes some tail lights fit and others do not.

Not sure what they changed, but I've seen many threads that you have to mod these to get them to work on 06+. Don't do it man, those are cheesy looking, just get overlays for you stock tail lights.

 

The only thing that changed was the required harness clip.

 

Hmm you really don't think those would look that good?? I thought that they would look pretty sick at night. I'm still considering.

But I'm waiting to hear back from the Nissan dealership to see if they'll fit for sure or not.

And on the above post, you said the required harness...what exactly is that??

Don't do it....had them, hated them...they burn out quick!! Get 06 LEDs and call it a day. Never used to believe this, but am leaning more that way every day.

 

ya i personally think these look pretty darn ricey. it's your car tho....

He has an '08 already, with the factory LED's. That said, I don't know why he is considering these.

 

+1 on cheesey. I think you would get tired of them after a while.

with all the ricers joining this forum, the marketplace will eventually be flooded with all the OEM parts that you want.
