Make sure you post some pics when you're done.

It'll be satin blue. Hope that's alright. Gloss would take to long to do, and I've seen gloss blue on the forum before I believe.

Blue doesn't look too great IMO. Did you think about satin white?

no i didnt.. sounds like it might look good though. My car has a tan interrior with the carbonfiber middle and tan armrest tan leather and tan plastic.. its all tan lol even the carpet is tan. i dont know if i am going to keep the plastics that way but i eventually want to replace the seats with some black with blue pinstriping... but white might be cool now that you said something. its a ppw with black rims. I have not seen any color combos that have just jumped out at me yet so im kinda trying to think outside the box and do somthing new lol. you wanna throw a white up? wouldnt mind seeing it.
I dont have a pic of of my interior so i can put on up but i will try to take some with my phone tonight.

There's actually a PPW Z with the console painted white, and I think it has tan interior like you said. I'm trying to find it.

Yeah I can't find it, and it's a little hard to turn a black piece white without it looking like a**.

Here's a pic I found on google. Not satin.

Such a f*cking headache...

It's turning out as a 8/10 at best. I found out the hard way that Krylon acrylic stain clear is not compatible with Krylon Fusion satin black.

Lots of sandpaper used today.

denatured alcohol lifts the glue residue.....it's a bit of pain but, the plastic will be as good as new.

Not failed, just annoying.

I wish I could get a stock center console and armrests for cheap.

Ya spray paint clear likes to spider and peel. Did you lightly sand the satin black then clean before clearing?

Oh, nice carpet btw.

Yea i was actually looking for molded dashes and came across that pic..

But back on subject the consoles look good.

I just actually painted my shifter/ac console because the carbon fiber vinyl looked like crap.. Its a hard piece to wrap. I used flat black dupli-color for vinyl and it came out nice. I am leaving the center gauge console wrapped if i can get the dam door to stay shut but i think i rigged it so it should be ok now. I will get some pics up asap when i put it back together.

On a side note i used and electric angle (triangle shaped) sander to get the old paint/glue and pattern sanded down then i went over it with some 250 grit (all i had i needed finer but it worked) I could not have done this by hand. I also used some aircraft paint striper it helped alot.

Anyone considering wrapping dash parts in vinyl beware its a biatch on most parts even for the better of us DIYers. Then you end up re-doing it all when you screw up.

The PPW console looks like A$$ IMO any other color than black or maybe burnt orange (with matching accents) is just too much.

and Spork heres a center console going for under $100
