Help! My seibon hood wont clamp shut!?

Help! My seibon hood wont clamp shut!?

Hey guy, I tried to install my seibon TS carbon hood today. Fitmint is dead on however, I can't seem to get the hood closed all the way. Has anyone had this prob? It closes but wont clamp. Any advice?

You may need to adjust the latch, loosen the bolts then adjust it..

Are we talking about the latch with the thick spring or the metal clamp on the left when looking down at it? Sorry if I sound like an idiot, I am!
