Default 05 350z HID problem!

Hey! I don't know if this discussion has been posted before, and yes I searched but could not find the answer I was looking for. Sorry in advance if this is a noob question.

So basically what happened was I left my car out in the rain(yes I know I should be punished) last night. Today I get in my car, and drive away. As I approach a red light, I decide to turn on my headlights and my driver side is out!! (seeing the reflection off the car infront of me.) Once I get home I try and replace the bulb with my stock bulbs I keep in handy, and still no go. So now I'm thinking it's a fuse, so after doing some research to find the fusebox for the headlights and after an hour or so I found it! All that work for nothing, the 15 fuse is perfectly fine, nothing, even replaced it with the spare one and nothing.
So now I'm really hoping it's not my ballast that went out. Because of some rain is this possible? I did repaint my headlight housings recently, but I made sure all the seals were all sealed correctly. I did get in a small fender bender resulting in my driver side headlight to crack, and water got in the housings and fried the ballasts. But the body shop fixed all that, got a new headlight and ballasts.(this accident happened WAY before I painted my headlight housings, I painted my headlight housings recently like 3 weeks ago, after the body shop fixed my car)

Do any of you 350z guru's have an idea on what the problem might be? It's my driver side(side that got in the accident) that's out if that makes a difference.

Any suggestions/tips would help a ton!! Thanks in advance.

switch supposed non workin ballast to known good side, test. if it works its not the ballast. id bet its your ballast if the fuse was good. switch the bulbs out too.
