Default Making my own footrest

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and I was wondering if I could get help.
I want to replace the footrest pedal on my 06 Z and I noticed there are 2 threaded rods that stick out the firewall.

I want to make a footrest that comes higher up to where the clutch pedal is located. Its just for comfort and since i work at a machine shop i have the tools and materials available. I was planning to make a piece that uses the existing connection but i haven't been able to figure out what thread it is, is not inches nor mm apparently.

I would like to hear your opinion on the subject. Thanks a lot.
Rene

I'm not sure what kind of threads there really are. I bought a new pedal and it just shoves into the holes. To take the pedal off, I had to pull up on the pedal while turning the "screws" on the pedal.
