The shop I goto has done some pretty sick cars and I like how they install a "pop" lock in the doors as they shave the handles off.. Basically imagine no door handle and when you click a button and your door pops open.. They make a key hole somewhere else away from eye view just in case for 911/emergency.. but I am gonna have it done soon, what do you guys think about doing that?

 

I am usually not into stuff like this but with the 350/370's, the handles look riced out to me. No other car has handles like them & for good reason.

 

IMO I kinda like the handles its up to you.

alot of people have shaved doors on their car

 

its nothing new but to me will make the car look cleaner. Not to mention if your batt goes dead for what ever reason your screwed but then again alot of guys put a manual door popper on the bottom of the door

I like my door handles. Only person to ever say they didn't like it to me in person was a girl who knows nothing about cars and is far from an enthusiast - my z sucks because of it's door handles but her bf's early 90's integra is ok LOL.

I think no door handles would look odd, like something is missing (which it will). But how do they do this? Is it just taken off and filled with body filler? How will this hold up over time? Will anyone want to buy your car if/when u try to sell it? Will this negatively affect the value of your car?

put some regular door handles on it.... or even ones like the new corvettes have..... ie. you would have to cut into the rear fender a bit and redo some of the door. The end product would look cool and functional

 

do it, show us, and tell us what it cost. : P

i like the door handles? rather spend the money on something more functional.

 

I like the handles too. It would be cool if they made them in a darker color tho. There's an emblem color on courtesy nissan parts called black pearl. I always wished they made the handles in that color as well....

 

I think the handles would look really sick CF wrapped...but if it's a stock Z maybe not

 

I think it would be best like the vettes...the car would flow without the door handles interrupting...
