Default Plate bolt stripped

Hey guys, need some DIY tips here. The other day I was trying to take my plates off my 350z and found that the bolts that holds them are stripped. It keeps turning but the dam thing wont come out. Any idea what I should do?

Try grabbing it with a pair of Vice Grips or something and pull as you twist? Is this the front or back plate?

The front takes forever to unscrew so just keep turning. The rear came right out.

Is the head of the bolt stripped or the threading?

I believe its the treading...I remember the guy from the dealership I bought the car from put the plates on for me...and he jammed both my front and back plate. Maybe I guess I'll take it back to the dealership and see what they can do. I just dont want to pay an arm and a leg for soemthing I can do on my own. Anyways, thanks for your help guys...maybe I'll just play around with it a little more and see if it would come out...

Cheers!

It's the threading for the rear plate. You are screwing into plastic clips. I have had my rear bumper off serval times. You will just have to replace them, they are just broke.

the front plate can rust itself to the metal plate the screw threads into. you are ****ed at that point and need to bend your plate to get to the bolts that hold the black plastic plate holder to the bumper. once you get it off the car, cut them off with a dremel.

if the bolt threads are stripped (not the bolt head) then you need a way to apply pressure to the surface it is supposed to friction against, and once you start getting it worked out, it should be doable.
