Why did you need to go to a shop to get lugs done? Did you already know your lugs were cross threaded and needed discount tire to get them off? Or did you go to discount tire to put on your new lugs and they found your lugs were cross threaded?

I got the amp friday. That was about the only thing that went right. Thanks a lot, i'll leave you feedback asap.

Why did you need to go to a shop to get lugs done? Did you already know your lugs were cross threaded and needed discount tire to get them off? Or did you go to discount tire to put on your new lugs and they found your lugs were cross threaded?
Went to DT to put them on and then discovered the cross threaded lugs and f'd up studs.

I got the lugs put on because the new Gorilla lugs are beefy as hell. The new wheels have deep holes and the acorn style nuts were short and stubby. With the tools I had I couldn't torque it all of the way.

The old spline style nuts I had however was what was used to install the new wheels temporarily. They were old and rusty, thus the order of new lugs. Discount tires says that the ones that were over torqued were the ones that they didn't want to remove because the stud would break.

So they just chalked the ones that had problems. It's possible that it could've been cross threaded prior to my trip to Kauffman Tire but i'm sure they could've told me something if it was a hassle to install or if was cross threaded.

I have been there and hate what you get for service today. It's bull crap that you have to pay for service and crap quality of things. Anymore I will not except it and just tell them I want my $$$ back or return the crap and find some place that will do the work right. I will not ever let my zo6 get out of my sight when being serviced or tires changed . I also take picts when it went in for the chipguard paint and had them sign and date it just in case there was a MESS up. Beware do not trust anyone with your car I learned the hard way and never again.

Talk about a run of bad luck. You must have killed Jesus in a former life and now Karma is kicking your butt for it!

damn dude, sounds like you just pick the wrong shop. You should have done it at a Nissan dealer, they are expensive but their works are guaranteed.

There's nothing I can say that'll make it better, but I sympathize for your run of bad luck.
