Default Can FRP stand up to hitting rubber cones every weekend?

I'm looking into either adding a front lip or a whole V2 bumper to my car for an improved look.

Problem is I autocross a good amount which results in hitting rubber cones at about 30-40 mph. Since fiberglass is so brittle, I'm afraid of spending $$ on a lip/bumper to have it crack with a couple hits of cones.

So I've been looking into the polyurethane V1 front lip or the Hybrid FRP Shine V2 front bumper. Will those hold up to the coneage abuse?

Thanks!

Btw if anybody knows a cheap place to buy Veilside V1 replica in black polyurethane please let me know!

you might want to use your stock bumper to auto cross, any bumper you put on there while hitting cones will: a. damage your paint or crack b. completely destroy your bumper.

+1 plus it only takes maybe 30 mins at the most to change bumpers.

No matter what company makes the FRP part, that constant abuse is going to take it's toll sooner or later.

Your best bet is to get a urethane lip, but that can eventually wear away.
*I have no info as far as getting ripoff parts. lol.

Understood I may have to go the authentic route since I can't seem to find other lips that are polyurethane.

Hmm, Or improve your driving so you stop hitting the cones.

The idea is to go around the cones isn't it?

( Please note this post is intended to be light hearted )

Ok please don't start the replica vs authentic debate in this thread.

I respect both sides and don't want to have this thread turned down the crapper. I think I got my answer already but let's try to leave this thread open for people who have other comments/experiences

Thanks

And to Jujube HAHAHA FUNNAY! j/k yes I believe the idea is to go around the cones (which ironically i have a lot of scuff marks on the rear of my rocker panels). But sometimes I just can't help it when the car won't turn and I plow a whole corner of cones (ok maybe I can)
