Cool. I don't know about Ace Hardware or Home Depot but for me there was no one local who had a key cutting machine that would fit my switchblade key. I had to take it apart and remove the key blade from the remote body for them to be able to cut it.

Where did you end up getting it cut at?

I got my key cut in... China for like USD $1.
And they did a hella good job.

By the way OP, do you think the key is little bit slide to left?

The buttons are located slightly to the left for cosmetic reasons I'm guessing, but the key itself pops out dead center, I don't know if that answers your question, I was browsing on ebay for different designs and came up with this one I think looking best.

I got everything shipping + tax for $19.99, Not sure if he actually added shipping, the guy's on ebay and he ships it from Hong Kong. Takes about 2 weeks but it's worth the wait, the plastic and metal feels pretty solid as well.

Yeah it doesn't come with the chip or the electrical template, I had to destroy my OEM Key and Remote to get that. It's pretty simple to do, like I said it took me 20 min max.

I'd suggest going to an actual locksmith as opposed to ACE or Home Depot. I went to my local Home Depot and they refused to cut the blank for me. I then went to my local ACE and they didn't cut it correctly resulting in me having to purchase a new blade. Third time was a charm at the local locksmith and the key works perfectly. Of course this is just my personal experience and does not mirror what will happen to you at your local stores.

i use an rx8 key fob.

That thing looks huge in your hand. Probably double the length of the rx8 unless you have really tiny hands. Pretty sweet none-the-less
