The Tommy Kaira Hebi Bebi Shift Knob Thread :D
Sorry for the delay..
Here is a picture of mine. It has a hex flange nut with serration. Its a blox but they are installed the same way. Again I just put the nut to the point were the name would be right side up.

I know this thread is dead but I just wanted to offer a cheap solution to anyone trying to properly line up the turtle to face forward. Yes I know you could create a metal spacer, however you might have to buy something. My solution was nearly free.
1. Find yourself some plastic packaging, the kind that almost cuts off your fingers trying to open would work best. Although anything would work, probably even card stock paper.
2. Take a hole punch or scissors and cut small round circles out.
3. Insert them in threaded portion of **** one at a time and test tighten until turtle faces forward.
I took me 3 little circles and the **** is snug and lined up perfectly.

Just got mine in today from Z1. Ordered in .... wait for it, wait for it ..... Jan 7, 2011. No joke.
I realize there was the whole earthquake, tsunami, nuclear meltdown interruption to supply lines in Japan, but let's not be too quick to blame ole Mother Nature. She didnt strike until early March. Estimated delivery at time of order was Feb. Even after Japan got it here to the U.S. there was a hold-up in customs which is a whole other type of disaster. Anyway, on to the ****.
Yes, it's heavy. Twin Turbos required to haul this thing around.
Yes, it looks cool. I like the turtle.
Yes, the finish is nice. I hope it lasts.
Yes, it makes shifting smoother. Your opinion may vary.
But could they not figure out a way to adjust the fitment so the turtle isn't wandering off into the passenger seat?! It's very annoying to spend this kind of money and wait this long to have to figure out a way to get the damn thing to line up straight. I tried the idea of sticking disks of plastic up there but the alignment was so far off that it would have taken dozens of pieces. I ended up cramming a couple of soft plastic pieces in the end which gave me some range of adjustability. Finally it's on nice and tight and straight.
No doubt that aesthetically it's a nice piece. Disappointed there wasn't some engineering and thought behind getting it to fit like I've seen from other companies. Not terribly impressed with TK in that regard. Now that it's fixed and I have properly vented, hopefully a few smooth shifts from the Hebi Bebi and I'll forget all about the wait time and the cost and the fitment and ....

they should include a rubber grommet with it that fits appropriately. im using a rubber grommet from a nismo ****, and it will tighten down so that the turtle is facing forward no problem. i could take a pic of how that looks later.

Don't get me wrong the Nismo is a nice shift **** but it's not a comparable product. I also have a problem with the Nismo because it's a stick and not a ball **** style. I don't feel comfortable with a stick style shifter. A ball **** is a lot better for me. Also, a weighted **** is a lot better for the throw. I guess it's all preference but I love the finish and feel of this ****. Can't wait to drive with it

I miss using my TK ****-- I need to check whether it fits in my new car.
