Default The Tommy Kaira Hebi Bebi Shift **** Thread :D

Got mine in from Z1 today!

I love my sexy polished ARC **** but it's too short and causes my hand to sometimes hit the SAFCII. I also had the ARC on my Evo 9 and it's a beautifully crafted piece but I wanted to try something new

Initial Impression: HEAVY! Heavy and more heavi-ness! lol it's definitely a rather weighty piece of metal. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet so I can't give any opinion on that until tomorrow. However, it does look sexy - but it's a different kind of sexiness...it's not as flashy and "fashionable" as the titanium polished ARC I had on prior...but for some reason the silver matches my car really well and the red turtle emblem gives it a mysterious feel I like it so far and I hope shifting will be as great as good as others raves about.

POST YOURS!

Red turtle....who doesn't love "squirt" from Finding Nemo right? lol

I use my cubby... no where else to put the iphone unfortunately. I hate putting it by the cup holder because it's hard to reach. I might still relocate it but for now it looks pretty good there. We'll see...I hate the 03-05 center console but we gotta live it with

I swear we're true enthusiasts...how do I know? We admire a ball of metal...which I'm pretty sure is copper or brass because it's so goddamn heavy!

It looks pretty sexy in person. And I believe most of the $250 (this **** goes normally for $230-$250) goes into the "feel" of this shift ****. I want to get out and drive but too tired today...I will report back tomorrow on the driving feedback

The carbon piece is from the entire RSW Carbon Fiber interior kit: http://www.visionaryracing.com/store...&productId=194

Have never tried the hiebi **** before but the Nismo **** feels great to me and there are no issues with shifting space, think it also looks better.

Don't get me wrong the Nismo is a nice shift **** but it's not a comparable product. I also have a problem with the Nismo because it's a stick and not a ball **** style. I don't feel comfortable with a stick style shifter. A ball **** is a lot better for me. Also, a weighted **** is a lot better for the throw. I guess it's all preference but I love the finish and feel of this ****. Can't wait to drive with it

I just got mine today from Z1 no pictures as of yet, but the weight and the size of the shift **** truly makes shifting effortless and very fast when it needs to be.

I used to have a Nismo stick type **** and thought the lever style was unbeatable for quick shifts, but I'm seriously impressed by the speed and accuracy that can be reached with a palm style shift with this ****, it definitely has to be its heavy ***.

When Z1 created the "pre-order" thread.....I was about to jump the guns but didn't b/c I have the SS ball shifter from zeetoyz (discontinued BTW) and it's great. It's heavy, bout 1 pound....TK a little bit heavier.
Anywho - I was thinking bout switching b/c I like the JDM'ness of TK
My buddy have one and I envy him

Nismo shifter - are good shifter but they're always up for sell

Looks good... just dremel out the shift console and make the gauge flush w/ a reverse bracket and a few pieces of rubber trim from home depot.
