Default Removing Headliner.......

Ok so I'm very new to all of this and I want to paint my headliner black. My visors are done but I dont know how to remove it. I tried searching through the forums but couldn't find any recent info. Any help would be great especially with pictures. Thanks

there isn't an actual DIY write up, but there are threads around here on how fairly easy it is...

I did read how "easy" ( we shall see ) it was to paint and know what type of fabric paint to get....but they didn't help me on how to remove it, I'm sure I'll figure it out but I really wanted pictures

I know where you can start. Pull the door seal off, along the top edge, then grasp the pillar trim and pull / unsnap it loose and pull up and back to remove it.

Then move the shades to the side and turn the shade fastener hook things a quarter turn either way and they come off when you pull down. The headliner, if you pull down a bit, will start to unsnap along the front and sides.

From there you will first have to pull seals and any trim pieces out of the way first. Dome light assembly for sure.

Then just move it out the back through the hatch.

Hmm....Thanks....I'm so afraid to just pull anything I don't want to break it. We already have my visors out and they are done so I really just want to finish this project. I'll try to take pictures

This should help give you an idea of what it looks like by itself. Do some reverse engineering after you can figure what parts are holding it on.
