Default DIY Leather Seat Install???

Hi,
Since no one recommended a leather seat installer in the NorCal Bay Area, I need some help doing it myself. Anyone seen any install guides? I know I'll need the hogrings and tool but don't know how they work.
How did you remove the cloth seats in a reuseable fashion?

Thanks.

I watched the installer when he was pulling mine off and can only offer a littel help. The bottom of the seat appeared to be held in place almost entirely by hog rings. He cut them off with some heavy duty wire cutters.

The back of the upper portion of the seat has zippers on each side. You have to pull them out from the bottom and then zipper them up to get to the hog rings.

I think you can learn how to put them on if you can figure out how to get the original covers off. Mine went on exactly like the factory ones came off.

I seem to remember there being a long plastic clip that had to be unsnapped, but I was not paying close enough attention to remember if it was on the bottom or back of the seat.

Good luck. It took a guy who does this for a living almost two hours including the 15 minutes to pull the seats out of the car.

hi
i did this in another car, similar construction
check out Mr Mike's in Florida- it pertains to Fiero's, but same deal
Hog rings- get them at an upholstery place, and a pair of hog ring pliers for $5.00. Four bolts for each seat, and pull them out.
You might have to pull the seat hinge bolts to get at the seat bottom. The back is easier than the seat- just make sure you have padding on the bolsters to keep things from getting lumpy in 6 months.
Good luck.
