Default Anti-Scratch Offensive: Interior Mod. 1

Okay, The lower panels where your feet are suppose to go seem to collect scratches, dust and what not. Most of the time its from my installers cause theyre 7ft 20 and cant get in my car without kicking something or some girl has to constantly move her damn feet. SO, I was inspired by someone on the forum, I forgot his name but he wrapped his console in fabric carbon fiber. I decided to wrap the panels in black suede. I chose suede because it doesnt pick up scratches and I can brush off dirt. This isn't a DIY tutorial, but basically i sprayed glue (from autozone) onto the panels applied the fabric and cut/folded the edges. FYI: In the installed pictures it looks like its two different colors but its not, they matched perfect its just the suede reflecting.

Curious to know the back story to why you put metal grating in a Z. Do you use it on the farm and get mud in the car on a daily basis?

Hope that adhesive works out for you, I have had terrible luck with it losing its adhesion. To all others who do any glue work should note that 3M High tack 76,77 are awesome glues for aerosal spray cans. If you want a adhesive that you spray out of a cheap automotive paint gun look up Bondmaster or spraymaster as its a clear like glue so if you get some bleed through it wont show. It also gives you a little more cushion if you mess up as you can pull up material and reposition, but once you rub it down it holds awesome.
OP suede looks nice but in such a high wear area it probably isnt the best choice, but seeing how the kicks are easy to cover redoing them every so often wont be to bad. Buy spare, extra material for future refreshments or rework. (good idea for any medium used)
