Cloth is WAY more convenient to have, leather looks nicer. I live in San Diego and it doesn't even get crazy hot in the summer and in my BMW the leather melts your skin. Opposite in the winter time, it is COLD. Don't get me started on a metal gear shifter in the summer. Go with whichever is more important to you.

Its completely personal preference

Regarding the Z, I have the leather seats. Nissan must have gotten a deal on the worst leather possible. I would say I really enjoy the leather in the Z if they were high quality, but they're degrading quickly. At this point, I have major wear on the drivers side bolster and a small tear in that area as well. In fairness, I have read threads of people with cloth seats having the same issues. After-market seats will happen for me. I will only miss the seat heater, but not that much...

i had cloth and upgraded to leather. I prefer leather even though it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Hard to explain but there is something nice about leather. Cloth is more cozy though.

Got to say cloth, leather is FTL in AZ.
Nothing like the smell of your own a$$ cooking in the middle of the summer at 115+.

and yeah i got leather but id rather have the cloth seats, less electrical means less to go wrong and cloth seats equal less weight, i think i heard they were even like almost 20 pounds lighter

you will want leather the first time you spill something or get the seats dirty. Never understood why people complain about the seats being hot with leather. I never had a problem with that and I live in the desert.

Tint really helps. Besides are you really that big of a ***** that you cant stand 10 seconds of discomfort while the seats adjust to your temp?

Personally I cannot do cloth, I think it looks terrible, I don't care about the slight weight difference its going to make. Leather is just way nicer and easier to take care of. Makes the Z look very classy.

i'd go with cloth, there is a reason why racing seats are made of cloth.

Nissan leather is very cheap and there cloth seats look like a** after a few years so take your pick. I never liked leather seats they crack over time there hot in the summer cold in winter and i slide all over them when cornering. Leather has been the staple for luxury but if it was up to me a few more cows could be walking around with their a**es attached

first time having leather seats in a car; it's easier to clean, I guess: wipe off leather (and conditioning to preserve) vs shampooing cloth.

I'm possibly not taking care of the leather correctly though.

Well I Looove my leather seats because they're the burnt orange color! And with my car being LeMans sunset, the combination makes my car look like its an exotic!

I believer OEM Nissan is not even full leather. Only the bottom portion is, the rest is pleather.

Leather helps feel the cheap interior feel little more upscale. Get katskins leather interior kit!

I have a car with each, my 03 has leather my 05 has cloth. I like the leather better, it has better adjustments that make my driving life a lot more comfy. The downside is the cloth seats hold you in better.

Sucks the car with leather is the modded car that gets tracked and the 05 is stock and her DD. May have to swap seats later, or just put the leather seats in her car once i get race seats.
