my parking lights are not working on my 2006 nissan 350z,just head pioneer head unit installed by shop,the brakes work, headlights work, everything good except no taillights at night,except when i hit the brakes they work fine....checked the fusses they seemed fine but it;s hard to tell,checked the ones under the hood those seem ok to...........please help i need to drive this car tonight please help............................

If you are worried about someone not seeing you brake from behind and hitting you, they will still be able to see you when you brake. If you are worried about being pulled over by a cop, I've heard most times it is a warning (at least I have got one). You should be fine man. Just try and fix it asap

But then he will have all that blinking going on. If a cop notices this, he's pulled over and cited for an equipment violation.

Let's try and figure out a better solution. He may even be on the road as we speak.

take two flashlights color the lenses red with a marker and tape them to the back of your car and turn them on= two brake lights. if it's a 911 situation just do it and go

Here is what happened (of course I’m guessing)…

When the shop installed your new Pioneer H/U, they did not disconnect the car's battery.

That means you have a blown fuse(s) at best, and maybe even some fried bulbs. Worst case some wiring went to “melt-down.”

I think you are going to be taking a taxi to the hospital tonight.

It's a blown fuse no doubt, seen it many times before when people just have a new sound unit installed. Check all fuse boxes again!

 

ive heard there is a 3rd fuse box. My lights just went out. I check all the fuses on the drivers side kick panel and they all look to be good. I havent checked the ones under the hood, but I was just reading up on it and someone mentioned there is another fuse box to the left of the battery. Here is his post. I will be checking it when I get home from work today.

"I looked in the owner’s manual, and it mentioned two places where fuses are located (by the kick panel on the drivers side, and in front of the battery). I checked all of the fuses with an ohmmeter and verified that there were no blown fuses. After searching the web, I discovered that there is a third fuse panel that is not mentioned in the manual. It is located to the left of the battery. It's a little tricky to get to. You have to remove two plastic panels that surround the battery. The plastic rivets are relatively easy to remove. Just take a screwdriver and pry the center out first, then pull straight out. Again, I learned the hard way and managed to break a couple of the rivets. Once you remove the panels, you will see something that looks like a black cylinder to the left of the battery. You can see the fuse label on top. Just pull straight up on the cylinder, and the cover comes right out. The brake light fuse is a 10A fuse on the top left. My car is a 2006 Grand Touring, so it might be a little different for other years."

 

it will be a blown fuse, the only reply on here that wasnt a smart *ss response, that was actually help was from SA Z-boi. follow his reply .the tail light fuse is located in the 3rd fuse box behind the battery
