Nismo 08 Conversion
I have an 03 Z that was in a fender bender. I've ordered the the new nismo front bumper 06 and up lights plus a 08 carbon fiber oem hood. I'll be ordering the 08 original nismo rear bumper as well but what can I do about the side effects? Can I go with some after market that would look nicer or should I stick to the Og's? What sucks is that they are 300+ each one if I decide to go that rout. What should I do? Thanks for the info.

There is nothing you can do about the side effects, except follow doctor's orders and take some pain relievers and get rest when needed.
One possible large side effect is getting flamed for having a fake Nismo, but wearing a NOMEX suit to local meets should help here.

what's wrong with using authentic nismo parts on a non nismo Z? it's not like he's going to get nismo wheels and throw on a fake nismo authentic number in his interior .. lol.
if you can blow the money on the expensive *** bumpers, 600 for sideskirts shouldn't really be a deal breaker..
I can understand hate towards knock offs or posers, but this is hardly something to scoff at. the nismo pieces are beautiful and functional.

totally agreed! I also was considerig this conversion vs the ful V2 kit. If insurance was involved then i most certainly would have went authentic Nismo V3. Unfortunatley i just wanted a changed. I thunk the V3 is good high horsepower builds that need a lot of air flow (front bumper) and down force (rear wing)!

See I was going to go with Chargerspeed kit but I rather have the car look like it came from the dealer ship. plus under the hood is where it counts for me. I've already pulled the engine and trans out. I will be replacing them with and LS7 440 stroke with a sheet metal intake from Beck, TNT direct port nitrous system, 115mm TB.... you get the picture oh and built T56 six speed. I will wear a flamesuit but to the track. I don't mined being called a poser. Its cool as long as I run 9s in the 1/4 all day that's good enough for me. I just hope whom ever calls me a poser is faster because if not well who's the joke on now. Entaille, thanks for the remarks I agree completely. Your right I should just dish out for the sideskirts but I was just trying to safe a few bills here and there that way I can through them more towards the drive train. For everyone else I am not trying to get anybody mad I'm just charring my build. I KNOW I cant please everybody but hey that's life.

Im going the same route. I have the rear and front bumper on the way already. The side sills are kinda pricey but eventualy ill get them as well, but may go with the Ings longnose kit's side skirts. they almost look like the Nismo 370 side sills toward the rear. just paint the lower part K11 and it should look good or even better than the stock Nismo side sills.

Haha don't let the Nismo drivers here scare you off...it's a great idea. OEM Nismo products are amazing but pricey. If you get OEM parts, it will look great. No one ever said a Non-Nismo can't use Nismo parts...they didn't make them just for you guys...

Yes, I personally love the Nismo kits as well, but I'd never buy a Nismo 350Z. Personally I think paying the extra asking price of the Nismo is not a very good value, price vs. performance wise. I'd rather have a base 07-08, and save the additional money with other aftermarket parts. So don't worry about what other Nismo owners are saying, they're the people that got sold by the "limited edition" hype, when there are much better aftermarket parts for less $$$$. Good luck with your build, and be sure to share with us on the results.

i agree with most here, it really doesnt matter if it's a real nismo 350 or not, i know i prefer oem parts because they fit great and will last a long time so long as you don't get into another fenderbender. make sure you buy everything for each piece though because its not only the bumpers, many of the other pieces have misc trim/diffusers that will cost another pretty penny, but if your considering the look i would definitely go for the side skirts, they look good and 600 is almost what youd be paying for any other quality side skirt.
