Default Spoiler removal

I wanna get rid of the stock spoiler, never liked it, but it happens to be on the car that I wanted to buy.
I am just gonna be spoiler-less for the rest of my Z ownership

They are glued on or screwed on? Any suggestions on how to remove it?

If anyone wanna buy it? PM me. thanks (can I do this here?)

***Oh, it's Silverstone color, no scratches whatsoever, I only have 2000miles on the car***

Default stock spoiler

The stock spoiler is bolted on. if you pop the inside cover off you can see 4 holes!

yeah, if they installed it properly, then they bolted it on and taped it. i heard of some just being applied with tape. i guess you could check underneath to see if you can see the bolts. if so, and you want to go spoiler-less, then i guess you are going to have to do some bodywork to cover the holes.

good luck.

Another alternative is to go with an aftermarket spoler that you like better. Some of these are designed to use the existing holes from the stock spoiler.

Would the NISMO spolier fall into that group using the existing holes. I love the stock spoiler but I'm looking for something MORE!!!!!

Thanks in advance

The Nismo spoiler will require 4 more holes to be drilled and you will still have some 1/2 holes left under it from the old spoiler. you just need to silicone or tape over(or both) the old holes. We have also had to send out 3 cars to have their trunk lid repainted as the stock spoiler lifted the paint it was glued (taped)on so well. Still I feel it's worth all the trouble as I personally like the look of Nismo and aftermarket spoilers on our cars.

remove the inside panel. remove 2 10mm nuts, there are also 2 pop clips, and lots or 3m tape. use plastic weed wacker cable to cut through the 3m tape in a sawing motion. then use silicone spray. spray and let soak to remove 3m backing. this wont harm the finish.
