Default Headlight help please!!

hey guys. a few months back I had some water build up in my drivers side headlight housing. The bulb blew obviously. I bought a set of new bulbs, but it doesnt light up on that side anymore.

what could this be? Anyone else have a similar problem? I really dont wanna dish out $700 for a new housing..

THX

PS: its a 2003 touring edition w/factory HID's

Check the connector from the wiring harness. It could be loose, damaged or fouled.

To get at the connector, turn that wheel all the way to the right, loosen the front fender liner, one screw near the arch of the fender and a couple of the snap things on the inside, and you will see it. Might be easier to just pull the wheel of, then remove the fender liner.

I would separate the connectors and inspect both ends for water, debris, etc.

it is your hid module im sure....water got inside of it. when this happens the bulb hardly ever blows its the hid module. They aren't that cheap either so unfortunatly you will be coming out of your pocket some more. I believe i have 2 lying around from when i upgraded my headlights to the 07 headlights. I'll sell them to you if you are interested but i have to hook them up to the car to make sure they still work its been a years since ive used them. when you take off your hid module of off your headlight flip it upside down and you will see water start to pour out of them. You can try letting them dry off but it seems the water has been in there for awhile it probably has messed up the connections.

Try this out. Remove the ballast, shake off the excess water and let it dry under the sun. That might be able to make it work again. and let me know how it turns out.
