Default Removing clips on front bumper?

******** Mods I know this is in wrong section but I'm in a hurry to get this bumper back on, so please can you guys please move it after I get my answer? I notice more people read here than the exterior/interior sub-forums. THANKS! ********

Hi, I'd like to know how to remove the clips shown in the pic below for the front bumper. These are the clips that attaches a metal piece onto the front bumper and are located on the sides of the front bumper. I tried using a flathead to remove them thinking they were the same as the clips in the center of the front bumper, but I found out it didnt work. Please if anyone knows how please tell me. Appreciate it!

Pull the metal part down.. It will not be smart of you to try to pull them clips.. I say again, you must pull the metal bracket down..

Pulling the metal part down didnt work for me. I even used elbow grease. I'm afraid it's going to snap the holes. It doesn't make sense how it would be removed just by pulling down. If it is really that, then how is it holding up without falling?
