Remove decals and go clean or leave it?

How hard would it be to remove decals?

 

I'd say take them off.

Every decal i've ever had to take off was easily achievable going to a wand wash and spraying/peeling them off, but everyone says they should be harder to get off so not sure.

EDIT: Also, paint might be faded under decals, depending how long they've been on/how long the car sits in the sun. Something to consider.

 

heat gun or blowdryer, careful with the heat gun not to get the metal/paint to warm it might bubble or warp. Ive never had an issue using heat gun on low setting to heat up goo and peel off. Now to take it off or leave it is up to you. Maybe you can add more nismo stickers on it. I think it'll go quicker if you do.

 

I say leave them! I have them and I think they look great on Z's~. If you do decide to remove them use a hair dryer. The paint doesnt fade under the decal, the rest of the paint fades! So when you remove the decals the paint under is darker. But I seriously doubt they have been on long enough to do that! Most people say its to JDM or ricey but do you really care what other people think? Do you like the decals? I think it breaks up the paint nicely.

Not my taste at all, but to each his own. If you like them then leave them alone, because as someone said, you might notice some fading issues.

 

It looks like you already missing some of the decal anyway.

looks good, but just get rid of the "nismo" under the mirror

 

I dont like them at all. If it were me I would use a heat gun and first attempt to remove the nismo under the mirror and if I noticed any fading I would just learn to live with them.

 

I'd move the Nismo badges off and the S-tune stuff. But the body decal looks cool. I like seeing that on Z's cause not many have them.

 

Leave it . Its unique not rice. Those cost $200 at stillen

Lose the wheels, not the decals.

 

nismo logos have to go.. the rest flows with your car

 

Seriously dude you went loco with the Nismo decal, get rid of those and keep the rest. I would say take them all off unless you plan to actually get Nismo parts or bodykit, otherwise you look like a ricer that puts a GTR emblem in place of the Nissan burger.

 

The wheels remind me of some old school 280ZX ones.

 

Keep decals...lose rims...fast!
