Default Nismo V2 front bumper owners Help

I have recently purchased a new Nismo V2 bumper. The salesperson that I purchased the bumper from said that it will bolt up to the undertray and the plastic inner fender just fine on an 05 base. Another sponser on this forum said I will need the plastic inner fenders off an 06 model to make it work. I have searched the forums and it seems that there is a little more information on the V3 bumper which needs an additional front diffuser and well as the inner fenders. Anyone with firsthand information please chime in.

V2 does NOT need 06+ fender liners, only V3 for 05- models does.

V2 WILL bolt directly up to the OEM plastic undertray.

If you bought a replica then it will probably not fit perfect with the undertray of fender liners. I have an '06 with a V2 and had to spend a fair amount of time with a Dremel tool to make it fit just right.

How far off are the holes/screws lining up?

The bumper shipped today, It's supposed to be a Nismo not a replica and I haven't done a test fit. I am just trying to get all the parts togather before I have it painted.

a new, in the box, nismo v2 from nissan... highly unlikely unless you paid $1000 shipped.

i do believe you will be happier with the fit of the '06+ front half fender liners.

Thanks for the input GeauxLadyZ. I think we met last Sunday at Coffee and Z's meet. It was your car that made me decide to get the V2 bumper.

the 03-05 and 06 + fender lines bolt up in exactly the same spot. The 06+ ones are a bit wider, and do fit the genuine V2 bumpers better than the narrower 03-05 ones.

Thanks for that clarification, you don't have to have the 06' fender liners, but the larger/slotted hole makes it easier to work with.

Wow, $290 for a genuine Nismo V.2! I paid $900 for mine and waited almost 5 weeks for it! If it shows up and its a true genuine V.2 please let me know where you bought it from? I want to buy a spare to keep down the road incase a deer or dog or something tries to change the cosmetics of my car!

i have an 04 with the V2 and the only issue is the bottom of the bumper. the stock bumper curves in and the V2 doesnt, causing a small(barely noticable) gap between the fender liner and the bumper at the bottom only

In my experience the fender liner did not meet the out edge of the
bumper and was noticeable. I just picked up some '06+ fender liners
as my bumper is being resprayed.

I am also surprised you found an authentic v2 - I thought they were
all gone and not being reproduced.

OK, I meant to say the larger/slotted hole(s) in the fender liners are easier to work with.

You dont HAVE to have the 06+ fender liners is the point. The 05- fender liners will tuck fine into the V2 and will NOT come out and flap around.

You saw mine in person. However the 06+ liners ARE required for the V3 because the V3 will not hold the 05- liners in place and they will be hanging loose in the wheel well.

Also, mine is a M1 replica V2, and the plastic undertray bolted up fine without having to drill any further holes or even drillout the holes larger.

If you want help installing let me know, but with the Authentic V2 you should have nothing to worry about whatsoever, fittment wise.
