I went through the same search when installing a homelink mirror in my sister's g35x sedan. I found a seller on ebay that sells the wire with the correct plug that fits into the back of the mirror. Search ebay for "homelink wire" and the seller: wembleysells. They sell it in their ebay store for a little less than 30 bucks shipped. Works perfectly!!!

Also, I had found a seller that supplies the wire cover that covers the wire from the mirror to the headliner. Search for mirror wire cover" seller: yovus
Sells for just under 8 dollars.

Not sure which one the z needs, never measured the distance to the headboard but I used the short one the g. It is the exact one used for the homelink mirror. Fit directly into the mirror and headliner. Nice oem finishing touch.

Used both of these to install the mirror and you couldn't tell that the car didn't come from the factory that way.
