Default 3M DI-NOC roof overlay installed.

Had a vinyl roof overlay installed a couple of weeks ago as well as a new clear bra on my V2 front end. the material is called DI-NOC produced by 3M. has the apperance and feel of dry carbon fiber. great product and is warranted for 5 years against fading and lifting. i have had several people have positve comments about it and some thought it was real CF. very durable product and i highly recommend it!! a nice alternative to painting or installing a carbon fiber roof panel. it is reverselble!! just hit it with a heat gun and it will peel off fairly easey. enjoy!!!!

will run around $300.00 with install. the material itself is pricey!! got it done here in vegas at a tint shop called ecotint. you can find the DI-NOC on line if you want to DIY. there was guy behind me that was getting his whole sportbike done. i guess this stuff is real big in germany right now. The owner of the shop told me that BMW uses this material on some of there interior components right from the factory on certian models. These guys had a booth a SEMA this year and that is where i found out about the product.

Weather proof, correct? Looks good. I might want to do this with my white Z.

Yes the material is weather proof. the 5year warranty is in the weather " rain/snow etc... " and exposed to direct sunlight. Let me find a link to the material. BTW the shop is experimenting as we speak with applying a clear coat over the material and seeing if it holds up and gives it that glossy look. they think the solvents in the clear may attack the material and cause it to lift.

here are some pic's of ecotint installing the material on one of there company vehicles for promotion and R&D. This vehicle will eventually have clear applied over the hood and mirror fronts to see if it holds up.
