Default After market side skirt Protection?

To all the guys with after market side skirts how do you protect the inner part of the skirt (wheel well) from debris chipping the paint. Also the inner part of the rear bumper. Im tired of painting it time after time and it looks like its been riddled with bb's in a matter of weeks from pebbles and rocks from the tires. Ive thought of cutting a small piece of clear bra but the area takes too much of a beating for that to work. My car is black so i thought of using dura-liner in those small areas. Any tips?

Stop using a soft clear-coat. Use a better quality harder clear-coat and you will not run into this problem.

could also paint that area with underbody paint, doesnt look as pretty but it does hold up with the abuse
