Read a few posts about eye-lids causing stress cracks on headlights.........but yet I see quite a few cars in the gallery with them "installed".

Experiences???

The last thing I want to do is send ClearCorners $2K and then put on eye-lids that may damage the light......

have had them for almost 2 years in texas heat. No issues I can see from stress cracks. I hear they happen with the overlay eyelids. I have the AUT fiberglass pieces.

Thanks for the reply........I forgot to mention that I'm speaking in reference to the CF/FG pieces you have.....not overlays.

woudlnt do them. They are just as bad as overlays imo in causing stress cracks. For all the people that have them installed....take on off and see if your lens is ok and let us know.

robbin your car is the **** without eyelids........just install those other twins already!

Jayz had a set of lights that had perfect section of stress cracks where eyelids may have been installed. dont know the full backstory behind them but i believe he bought them used.

Why would would you want to cover up any part of your clear corner headlights. It would just take away from their beauty. They are the sickest headlights out hands down. Congrats

The only problem is that they look great and you will wanna keep them on forever. GR8 mod for the Z hands down.

I had vinyl eyelids, and in Texas, when I decide to remove them I found "Stress Cracks"!
I had to replace the lens.

Dont do it! If anything just sell them...Especially since your getting your headlights done by clearcorners. Their work is the best and you dont want to cover it up!
