ZSpeedPerformance.com Aluminum Undertray Review [Pics]
I ordered a black powdercoated undertray from CustomPartZ to replace the factory plastic undertray. The main feature I desired about the undertray is the oil drain/ filter door. The door is sufficiently large to access the filter and drain plug.
The part arrived quickly and very well packaged with a full hardware kit. Installation was as easy as removing the 14 bolts from the stock undertray and bolting up the aluminum tray. The piece is very well crafted and lined right up. Clearances seem as good as stock if not better. And it looks great!

I loved mine ('til I got rid of the car
). Awesome vendor with extreme attention to detail in the part AND in the customer service.
OP. Thanks for the ramp idea. I haven't been able to use my metal ramps for years. The metal weigh a ton also and I got pretty tired of cracking my shins with them.

I like those! I have Rhino ramps which I usually use to jack up the front for my lift. Those ramps of yours look like they'd get in the way for more serious work under the car.BTW, great looking tray. I like that color.
I am working on the Nismo V3 front piece so it can be used with the Nismo V3 Fascia.
Looks Great. But what really is the benefit of an aluminum underbelly? I've seen several posts about it.
1. Does it save weight? Can't be much.
2. How about aerodynamics? Can't be much, can it?
3. Protection? Maybe somewhat better than the plastic, but what the heck are you running over?
4. Looks? Only if it is jacked up, or only to be appreciated by the last person you ran over! (which justifies question number 3)

Edit: I just read Zperformance's website which explains it. I've concluded you don't save weight, or improve aerodynamics. You don't need it if your plastic one is working properly. The only real benefit is the oil change gets a little easier and it will last longer than the plastic one which is getting shredded by something you're doing...incorrectly! For $230?!

It DOES add more rigidity to the front end, but I guess it comes right down to this. If you don't want it, then don't buy it. It's a high quality piece made by a very stand-up vendor. Not everyone buys Pop chargers, or plenum spacers or turbochargers either. I'm not sure who you've impressed by your complaining about the product. Look at an ARC undertay if you want to complain about price.
