Default Refinishing Carbon Fiber??

I searched, but couldn't find the info.

Is it possible to have a carbon fiber piece refinished to look new again? Whether it be faded resin to chipped resin to even a layer of carbon fiber exposed and flaking.

Does anyone know of carbon fiber refinishing or does it just get to the point of painting over it?

it usually costs so much to properly repair cf that people sell them or paint over it.
