Default CVR rocks. Plenum spacer / seibon ts hood install issue

Firstly, thank you CVR for the excellent communication, price, and shipping. wow, I can't believe how quickly you got this here and your shipping company are good people. I must say CF looks 10x better in person then in pictures :]

I installed my seibon ts hood today and ran into a clearance issue due to my plenum spacer. we raised the strut tower brace on some small half inch or less spacers when we installed my plenum spacer - needed the extra clearance so it wouldn't rub.

it sticks up too high and I'm not able to close the ts hood, though.

temporary solution to get it to close for the night = take the strut tower brace off. I am going to look for some smaller spacers, but in the off chance that I need a flat-style strut tower brace, anyone have a decently cheap suggestion? appreciate it.

well to try a cheaper fix I replaced the thicker spacers I had on there with 3/8" ones, the hood closes but the strut bar is now making contact with the plenum nearly. the plenum will be bumping the strut bar when it moves.

do you think this will cause an issue? should I be looking for a replacement aftermarket part?

here are some shitty pics to show ya

I sat and revved a bit and didn't notice anything. I put it in gear and pre loaded it a few times with the hood up and limited view and it seemed okay.. but ya never know.

sweet dude! i'm leaving it CF until it fades then I am painting it. I am not a big CF person.. but wow, after seeing it in person, I don't want to paint it (yet)!

I am dropping my car off tomorrow and it will be 'transformed' by Wednesday or so ..

just an update, yeah, that definitely rattled the engine bay - I had to remove the strut bar AGAIN. going to look for an aftermarket one.

^^Bah, just paint it now. Makes ya look like a punk that wants to street race

Thats the feel I got with it being CF, plus all the ricers driving more aggressive then normal before it was painted.

CF attracts ricers like sh*t attracts flies

I would go crawford strut since your N/A. It fits in front of the plenum but is to low to clear for a turbo kit.
