Default Door Dynamat - FAIL!!

Hi Guys -

So attempted to dynamat my doors today, and 15 minutes in, I was stuck. Followed the directions here:

http://www.*********.com/zwiki/Tutor...r_Installation

In the removal of the first set of screws, "Using a 10mm socket or Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws that are now exposed. Set them aside for later. Lift the door release lever and locate the black plastic panel behind it."

I noticed that no matter how much I turned, the screw isn't coming out. It seems thread in the plastic is worn? Not sure what the exact cause. Has anyone here run into this issue or have any ideas as to what I should do?

Thanks!

Sometimes the threads are a little boogered. Just pull out on the door panel as you loosen and it will come.

Thanks -

I've tried everything, pulling on the door panel, trying to wedge another screw driver between the screen and the plastic, almost everything. Nada, it just would spin in its pretty little place and not come out.

Any special tools that might help with this? Really appreciate the help.

Thanks!

Just keep trying. I took my panel off at least 6 times last year. It's a little tricky, but you'll figure it out.

I hope you like that wiki section of Tech. It's saved me a lot of money over the last few years.
