I dont understand the differences in the 03-05 headlights and the 06+ headlights. Somebody please explain the differences.

Pre 06 has a mini projector in front of a reflector D2R bulb hid system. 06+ has a real projector HID using D2S bulb. Also 06+ high beams are part of the projector's bi-xenon feature activated by a solenoid. Actual lighting performance difference is significant.

 

The 03-05 also have orange reflector strips on the side, where the 06+ has a set of orange LEDs.

 

I have the 04 350z but i got the 06 headlights i got them b/c they just look a hell lot better.
