This is definitely sweet! I personally like subtle mods and this fits the bill.

Good Stuff. Can't find anyone in Dayton to do that kind of quality work.

If you are looking to cover the interior in alcantara or nice leather pieces, I would take the liberty of going to salvage yards or even eBay to buy those pieces for a lot less, then send them to JPM to be covered.

Enjoy it while it lasts, suede steering wheels don't look good for long.

You should put a Volk sticker on that wheel too.

Not true, if you clean in regularly with mild interior cleaner it will last years.

I daily my M3 and its suede steering wheel (which I replaced with a new one when I bought the car last year) looks brand new, thats 18,000 miles ago.

OK, but I work for BMW and all the cars with suede steering wheels that come in look terrible. But what do I know, I only see them all day every day.

Thats totally subjective, with regular maintenence they all last for years. Either way it looks great. And for what its worth, its not that expensive to replace.

I personally think it is a pain to maintain on top of everything else for a daily driver, might work well in a show car "only" settup. If it costed 400 to get I think they will charge the same or more to replace as now they have the added task of removing the old. For a suede wrap thats expencive. I would expect 400$ to have it wrapped in CF but suede??? Sorry I just do not see the value.

I have been thinking of getting my steering wheel redone as well, but never found a place that was reasonable enough or that I trusted. Thanks for sharing a paving the way, I'll have to give them a shout. The other thing I want covered that I have seen zero examples of is the center console. Has anyone seen a 350 with a leather or alcantara covered console?

I just had some stuff done by Dallas Custom Steering Wheel in alcantara. Wheel, shift boot, and door armrests. Fast turnaround by them and I'm pretty happy with the quality of work.

Neat look. Too bad it is a 2006 console. I actually meant the vertical dash part, but still neat to see other things done. Would a 2006 console fit a 2005? I am sure I could search around for that ans.

Thinking of doing this to my steering wheel. Also, there is a big difference in Alcantara vs Suede.

That's pretty sweet, gives the interior a totally new European look. Thinking about wrapping the steering wheel and getting a shift boot when the funds allow for it.

Glad I found this thread, I'm about to buy the black alcantara shift boot with black stitching from JPM.

I really want to update the interior. If I like how the shift boot turns out I think i'm going to do the door cards and armrests in the same material.

My least favorite part about our cars was the center console. Seeing that post above gives me some ideas for what to do with the center console though.

Just curious if you ever did this? I had them wrap my door cards, armrests, and knee pads a couple years ago and I never got around to posting photos of them really. But I love the way they came out. They feel great and smelled amazing. And they look a million times better than the stock plasticshit
