hey Ares, do you have any close-up pictures of the actual bulbs?
And PM me to let me know when they will be available. I am planning on purchasing turn signals (front and back), reverse lights, and parking lights. and if you can, brake lights.

Thanks.

Trust me, the investment is well worth it. :-D
I've had these for a few months so far, and they're still bright!

right now the bulb thats on the car isnt "sellable". DJs is painted and neat, mine is rough, very much a prototype to see if it would all work, making it pretty like DJs is the next step.

Ive contacted some suppliers for parts, they quoted me 30days to deliver, when all that comes I will begin selling.

right now tho I have a turn signal and parking light, I intend to improve upon the turn signal design to create a reverse light, and then finally a brake light.

AHAHA... cmon, mine is pretty ghetto since it's completely handmade aside from the bulb base. I think the 194s look better in silver than black.

From making these bulbs, I realized how stinky that epoxy stuff is. Am I going to die from smelling this stuff?

Another thing... the stock LED bulbs from Autolumination is too weak. I realized I needed brighter bulbs so that it's easier to see at night when backing out. My design will be a simple 4LED + 1 Lambertain Luxeon (BW02). This should provide enough brightness at night.

well it appears I played with mine too much. just noticed only 1 LED is lit on the turn signals. not suprising seeing how much I toyed with them before putting em together(like a little kid, I wanted to see it light up!)

so now I do not know if the photos I took are with 1 or 2 LEDs lit... it may be 1.

Heh... you should see my face when I bought my first Blue LED years ago. It was unbelievable!

As for my first ever white LED... I nearly crapped my pants! I never knew it was going to be true! I remember those things blinded me. They're not so bright to me anymore after being blinded so much from the Luxeons.

Do you have pictures of the insides of the clear reflectors? My idea is to mount a single white luxeon on top and one on bottom. I hope to spread the light inside the reflector and make one light up white when I turn on my head lights, and amber when I use my signal. It's just a different method of lighting these things up.

already thought of it, I have an amber set of reflectors just for that purpose, just havent done it yet, only have amber side reflectors on hand tho, and only 1 of them at that...

but I imagined 3 rather than 2, because no doubt they will have a point appearance, tho it may be more of a point of darkness than a point of light. it will atleast keep with the theme.

Ares,

A suggestion for the amber...use an orange Sharpie marker to paint the outside of the 2nd LED package. You'll be amazed at how well it does the job. It's a LOT cheaper than trying to make an amber reflector.

dont follow, the LEDs are amber, they put out true amber coloring, why use a marker? not to mention it would likely burn off as these get rather toasty when in use.

or are you talking about the reflector DJ mentioned. he was talking about the bumper reflector, we arent making them, buy them from nissan and modify them

My bad, it seemed like you were trying to use a white LED for an amber piece and wanted an amber reflector. I figured you could get rid of the expense of an amber reflector and just color the LED itself...didn't realize you already had amber LEDs.

As far as heat goes, we've used the orange Sharpie trick on the S sidemarker bulbs for a while now with no sign of anyone having theirs fade from heat.

SO let me get this straight... you will be selling a 168 wedge bulb replacement? Plug and play for us buyers?

yes. 168/194 I believe it is. I think they are the same. but yes, plugs in like any ordinary bulb; 10 minute install that anyone can do.
