What about the g-force harness? While the latch isn't as easy to use as the schroth, They cost much less and are SFI approved. Any comments?

Can you safely use an antisub belt with stock seats?
This Profi II ASM schroth harness seems like it might be a good alternative for those with a stock seat with the anti-sub technology.

YES! IF mounted correctly. I mounted mine at the same attatchment points as the lap belt mounts. It's PCA approved!
See www.BCRLtd.net for pix.
Do NOT mount them to the front seat frame attatchments.
Man, this is an OLD thread!
PS, I have a better solution with custom Impact Racing belts.

I just talked to HMS and they said you shouldn't use a 5 or 6 pt with a stock seat because you will not get the correct geometry. The sub belt should be pulling down. With a stock seat it will be pulling forward which is exactly what you are trying to prevent. I explained how enthuz set his up (sitting on the sub belts) and he said that some formula belts are set up like this but he still thought that the ASM 4pt belt was a safer solution.
Just some food for thought. I'm trying to do the safest thing possible.
I really wish the www.BCRLtd.net site had some pictures of those impact racing belts.

So do I!
I'll see what my 'WEB-MASTER" can do.
In the pix, you can see how I run the sub belts under the seat back, so there is no way that one could slide forward.

I like sparco cam lock harness I have also had there standard harness, glorified seatbelt. Cam lock is extremely secure I like the thick and wide harness. though i have only tried sparco (matches rest of interior mods)

Impact Racing is Bill Simpson's new company after getting f*cked by NASCAR & the Earnhart family.
BTW, I just checked a couple HPDE web sites, PCA & Car Guys, and they both do NOT allow 4 point harnesses. Must have a 5 or 6 point harness. The Chicago PCA site also requires 5 or 6 point harnesses to run their HPDE at Road America (and a Porsche ).

SCHROTH all the way. I have em paired with my Cobra Suzukas. They cost a bit more than the others, but they have a FIA life of 5 years over 2, which is the standard for others. Plus the polyester webbing is 30%-ish less prone to stretching.

I'm going to go with the 4pt that I listed above because according to hms (schroth importers) it is the safest thing for the stock seats. For less than $20, I can add the sub straps to this system if I ever get a race seat.
