Default 2003-2005 Front Bumper on 2006+?

Hey there..

I'm looking to buy a bumper from one of our fellow members off his 2005, only problem is I drive a 2006 and am not sure if it will fit?

I looked into some other posts of people doing the opposite (putting an 06 bumper on an 05) and they had to do a lot of rigging.

So, will the 05 bumper fit an 06?

If anyone has done this, could you please provide pics?

Thanks everyone!

EDIT: Read it backwards. I am not sure about going down in years. Sorry.

Well, as an example - our full replacement bumper works on all years of the 350Z.

i think one problem maybe that you will also need 03-05 fender liners.

06 front reflectors wont fit in a 03-05 bumper so you will need to get those new.

Ya mine is pretty bad. The bumper is going pretty cheap so I figured it's a lot better than paying to have mine fixed.

I'm not sure what the fender liners are?

They are the black pieces that go inside the wheel well.

03-05 oem bumpers look like poop compared to the 06+ ones. I wish i had the money for the newer ones. I say you fix your current bumper.

Check some of the salvage yards in your area. I would think there would be good chance you could find a Silverstone '06+ bumper in all of SoCal.

A great resource to start with is www.car-part.com

Default 06-08 Bumper on an 04

I know I read a discussion on here about this subject, but I can't find it.

I have to replace the front bumper cover on my Z. I'd like to use an 06+ on it, but I know I read somewhere the inner fender panels need to be replaced for correct fitment. Can anyone answer this for me? Also, do I need to replace both the front and rear panels?

Thanks in advance.

you can make it work with pre 06 front fender liners but its does look right and that is also how mine ripped off on the freeway

bought two new front 06 fender liners and it fits and looks perfect.

Explain sir. I'm getting ready to send my 06 bumper in for paint so I haven't even got to the fender liners yet...if I really need 06+ liners then I will start looking.
