Default Vinyl.

I want to know, has anyone every vinyled their whole z? Mine is silver and it has been a year sense I got it, I want to repaint it but I dont really want to spend all that money if i really wont have to. I was wondering If maybe I could get some vinyl, a color I like, and just take it to the shop and cover it all. I need some feedback, do you think its worth it? will it last at least a year? will it actually look like a painted car or just and ugly big sticker? all feedback welcome, thanks.

If you have a shop wrap the car for you it will be at least $2500.

If you do it yourself, you could probably source a huge roll of vinyl for a few hundred dollars. I believe somebody did his Z himself recently in flat black vinyl. Hopefully he will chime in.

In a gloss vinyl, I don't think it can look as good as paint. I have a gloss black wrap on my roof and it doesn't look as smooth or glossy as paint.

This is the wrong sub-forum for this question.

Unless you had a DIY for wrapping the whole car?

yeah itll be as much as a pretty good quality paint job, might as well go that route and go the whole nine yards; door jams, interior disassemble, etc.

ill forewarn you now; its almost always cheaper to just sell the car and then buy the same model/year/trim in the color you want. just saying....take it from experience. no matter how good the job is, in a 2500 paintjob price range, your engine bay is still going to be silver, etc.
