Default Anyone on here done a spoiler installation themselves?

im looking to install a CF spoiler that sits on the rear hatch deck. i bought the spoiler from ebay from the carbon town website. ive heard that you have to spend big money on a spoiler (at least $500) for it to be a great fit? anyway, can anyone give me some insight on how to installed this spoiler, i definetly would like to drill it down from underneath the inside of the hatch...

You can pre-fit the spoiler with tape. The tape will either hold the spoiler in place or position an outline for installation.

hopefully you budgeted the proper install costs from a shop in your purchase, and didnt buy it and then find out about the cost to install.

but you can do it. you have to be brave to cut and drill into your car like that, but its a job best left up to a body shop.

I just installed the factory spoiler, and I am not very mechanically inclined and it was a ***** maybe I am just not used to the whole idea of chopping my trunk up lol.

i installed my nismo spoiler, and it had an overlay that I lined up with the whole trunk lid and it had the areas to drill perfect. I bought a nice drill bit to use, but i mean really it was a very simple install. The screws or bolts from the undersides are kind of a b!tch, but its totally possible for one person to take care of no worries. And it feels good to do something so drastic (like putting irreversible damage into your trunk lid) and have it come out looking awesome!

This is the spoiler I installed, just prior to this photoshoot!

That small of a wing only needs doublesided tape to hold it. I am currently running a Nismo V2 wing held on only with tape, and previously had an OEM CF wing held on only with tape.

my veilside underwings are held up by 3M double sided tape, and the front lip it held in place by it too... My wing is just a little too big for the tape though. Also the OEM spoiler comes taped, with two cheap bolts.
