I bought my Z used and it had a system yanked out prior to my purchase. And by yanked I think they may have literally just started pulling stuff apart. Anyways I noticed today while detailing the interior that my passenger door is missing a clip, well 2 clips, that hold it in place.

In the upper inside corner there is a vertical slot. This is where I think some sort of metal clip is supposed to be according to the diagram i found on Courtesy Nissan's site. But from looking at my panel I can't see how the clip is supposed to attach to the door.

I don't see any tabs or anything at all to attach the clip to. If I had to guess I'd say this little metal wedge clip is the type that is supposed to be seated on a plastic tab and my door doesn't have the tab. Does this mean my door panel is f'd and will never fit right again? Is there anything else i can do to get the door to sit tight again? Maybe some 3M tape?

Lots of views and no help. That sucks for me. Guess I'll have to remove the whole thing and see what can be done.
