Default Airbag Module location...

I need to ship my airbag control module away to get reprogramed. I read online that it was located under center console, near the back closer to the passengers side. Is this correct? Just want to make sure before i go tearing the interior all out of it. It's a '04 350Z Roadster.

According to the FSM the "module" is part of the airbag itself, meaning there is one for the drivers side located in the steering wheel and another for the passenger side. Are you sure that is what you need to get "programmed"? I'm thinking you might mean the sensor which is located in front of the radiator.

No it's the control module i need, not the crash sensor, which more often than not is located under the center console, so i think i'll just take my chances anyways. My father & I fix damaged vehicles all the time & there is a guy we send out modules to through eBay.

Download the FSM and look under the Srs.pdf chapter.

Thanks for the help guys, but i just went ahead & started to take apart the center console this morning (it was actually very easy, not as much to it as i expected), and sure enough at the very back underneath was the control module. It's already in the mail on the way to NY
