NEW momo steering wheel
Wow, Nissan has a new Momo steering wheel as an option. It looks nice, it's here:

I like the one on the left... but where do your cruise control functions go? :-)
Obviously, the one on the right looks like it gets rid of the airbag... but the left its still there?

Cruise control isn't an option in Japan, their straight highways aren't quite like ours so they don't really have the same usage for it as we do.
If you can live without Cruise...and you don't mind paying $600-$800 for the one on the left, Courtesyparts can bring it in for you. (from Japan, the only place you can get it I think)
I heard that price quote from another, I didn't get it from Courtesy. Might want to call them to confirm...

I just had a friend pick up the Momo steering wheel for me as he is in Japan right now and said the price calculated out to ~$595. They had to airfreight an Infinity G35 Sedan over to Japan for a sales meeting ("shipping" was ~$28,000!!!) and he said he was just going to throw it in the trunk for the trip back. He made a good point that they airfreighted the car over there and all they did was unhook the battery, essentially rendering the steering wheel in the car in the same condition as the new Momo steering wheel, and it didn't blow up. He did double check with some people at Nissan and did verify that it should work fine. Obviously there are no buttons, but since I have a Base, I don't have the usual cruise control buttons anyway.
