Default Drilling into fiberglass bumper question

Ok guys, I have a nismo v2 vfiber bumper already painted. I want to put on the canards but have to drill holes. Can I do this or will my paint crack? Any suggestions on how to do it if it possible?
Thanks in advance

Yes. Fiberglass is easy to drill. Just remember that it melts so keep drill speed slow.
To prevent cracking tape then drill.

Do you have a template because they will most likely not be uniform

^^^Keep this in mind. Once you figure out where to drill. Cover the area with blue tape and drill through it.

Or put a tiny glob of paint on each bolt receptacle on the canard, push canard against front bumper to mark where holes should be drilled, and drill away.

or

Lay a piece of paper over the canard's mounting surface. Poke holes where each bolt hole will be. Lay piece of paper on bumper, and mark through the holes with a sharpie.

Low speed, low pressure. Start with a smaller drill bit.
