depends what seats and colors are in question. racing seats are cool, but some can be a bit contrictive, no movement or whatever.

 

IMO, racing seats look out of place on a car with an interior. I could see if you were going to strip everything and lose as much weight as possible, but otherwise don't bother.

I've seen a bunch of really really nice looking two-tone aftermarket leather setups that work well with the Z. TXSTYLE's got a great color combo; do a search and check out his car if you need pics.

 

I would get racing seats...i plan to when i get my z. I sat in my friend's sparcos that were are in his m3 and they feel soo sweet. Very tight and no movement. I think they are really cool. Sit in some different racing seats and see what i mean if u haven't already.

 

for the price of leather covers, thats easily the price of a non-adjustable racing seat....

when you get racing seats (good fitting ones to your butt) its as if you are wearing the car. you get a better feel for the handling, when you're not trying to prevent yourself from sliding out..

but the Stock Z seats are pretty good (imho)... i would just stick with a roll bar/harness if you wanted to be really snug....

im having the same questions you are- but i think i'm leaning toward a single race seat... (i had two before in the maxima.. but i just realized i really dont have passengers all that much when racing)...

 

looking back i wish i got some sparco milanos. I'm a stickler for details, and i'm not as happy as i could be with my new leather.
