Default Window Tinting Question(s)

Hi all,

I want to TINT the windows on my new PPW Roadster and I did some inquring here locally by calling all the local tint shops.

It seems that most places are using a product made by
Llumar. Llumar's line is called Platinum Plus

I also heard the name Solar Guard by Quantum.

And another is Endurance by Sun Guard.

Someone told me that the above three brands are considered the standard in the industry. And there is no real difference, other than one brand is shiner/glosser than another.

Also, I learned that you must get a TINT that is metallic and make sure it has NO dyes.

They all offered 'lifetime' warranty against bubbling and peeling, however only one offerred against fading as well.

Prices ranged around $99 - 150.

My question is what is the best one to get?
Does anyone who deals in this have any suggestions as to which one is the best?

Your help is appreciated...........

I have used Formula One "Millenium" tint on my last three cars. One of the best films out there. Llumar is on par with Formula One. I've never heard of the other two.....

Hope that helps,

Way to much info for me. I will tell you I have Llumar on both my 87 (17 years) and my 91 (13 years) & have not had any problems with either.
