Default Should I do this to my car?

So my friend is selling his GT style spoiler for dirt cheap to me, I'm thinking about putting it on to my car, but I wanted get some feedback from you guys. I haven't actually mount the wing onto my car yet, because the bracket that came with it was way too high for my taste. I'm going to make a custom bracket for the wing. As for now I found a box to put the spoiler on that is going to be around the same height as the bracket. It's about 2 to 3 inches off the trunk (From the top of the trunk to the bottom of the wing)Also I'm going to move the mounting bracket towards the side of the truck instead of being so centered. What do you guys think? Should I do it or not?

You're debating the decision, its not something you love. My philosophy is that its not good to put parts on a car you are not in love with. This way the car is YOUR car and you'll love getting into it every day.

I wanted a gt spoiler for along time already, but I'm also worried that I over do it to my car. I don't want people to call me ricer and also ruine the Z's reputation.

if the GT Spoiler compliments other aerodynamic upgrades to your vehicle, and your vehicle is used for drifting, track, drag competitions, then yes add the wing. If your putting that wing on a stock Z it's not going to look right, IMO.

You just answered your own question do not do it, unless your planning on hauling two more passengers on that park bench..... i don't see anything about you being on the track or needing downforce. So my answer to you is

depends.

if you have thick skin then yes.

looks like you have a full Ings N-type body kit.. i would put on the high mount wing with that kit,

a low mount looks weird.

Like I always say to questions like this - if you have to ask, you probably already know what the answer is: NO

I think his mounting job was a little sketchy at best, if you can do a better job mounting (better hardware included) I say go for it. If not...
