I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be bad to get my veilside v3 body kit installed with my stock rims, other than it not looking as good as it could with aftermarket rims.

I do plan to get rims, but it'll be a couple months before I have the cash for those. A friend told me that the stock rims may rub or something since they are not wide enough, but that doesn't sound right.

Any advice?

 

I have the body kit for mine sitting in my attic in storage because I decided against putting it on there. Just get some coil springs and slam it, then when you get rims, it will look something like this.

OEM wheels are not wide enough? Wide enough for what? Do not understand.

 

I don't know, I didn't understand either. I figured if nothing else, I could get spacers until I got my new rims, but idk if it would even be worth it. I would like wider rims, but I don't see how it would be a necessity.

 

my neighbor installed the same V3 veilside with stock wheels and no drop at all. The wheel gap was huge and it looked weird. So he decided to get 20's to fill it in more. I say avoid this kit unless you can pull it off with some 19/20's plus spacers plus lowering springs/coils to make it look perfect.

 

Most kits can still pull off stock rims if its dropped, but I think with the V3 kit your going to want a drop and rims at the sametime before you put on that kit. Otherwise...it's really going to look weird on a wide bodykit...imo

 

Use the money for the bodykit on nice aftermarket wheels then drop the car. Much better look than stock wheels + bodykit imo.

 

VeilSide version 3 kit with widebody and stock wheels is a big OUCH.

 

I agree with pretty much everyone, aftermarket wheels and drop > body kit with stock wheels.

 

if your getting a good deal on it, just buy it and don't put it on till you get wheels.

I'm not sure why anyone adds a body kit before wheels and suspension. The Z looks great slammed with a set of 19's with stock body panels. Do things right the first time.

 

If you plan on getting cash in two months, why not wait?.
