is the Ings kit Urethane?

no, it comes in frp or hybrid which is sort of a blend between fiberglass and urethane

Is it a good quality kit, or is it one I'd have to be realllly careful with?

Quality is excellent on it - personally I'd go PFRP (aka Hybrid), especially for a daily driven car (much more flexible and forgiving)

I have heard that the rear piece where the exhaust cut-outs are burns easily from the exhaust tips. Is this true?
