Default Driver's door wont lock

Ok so i searched and couldn't find anything, so if anyone has any helpful tips, id be really thankful. My car started doing this today, or at least i noticed til today, i went to lock it with the remote and the passenger door locks, but the driver door doesnt, it beeps and makes a locking noise where the hook is on the door but it wont lock, only with a key, has anyone had this problem/know how to solve it? thanks in advance for any help.

Well I thought about it but it actually still makes noise like it's trying to lock so idk if that makes a difference, wow 426 views and 1 response???

Wow is that it??? No more responses?? Ok so if it is the actuator how would I know? Anyone kno how to test to see if it's the actuator? Thanks

The lock actuator is also used when you press the door lock button on the arm rest. If that locks/unlocks the door, the actuator is OK. Otherwise, it's toast.

Maybe it's time for a

I've never seen the actuator on a Nissan, but I was able to repair one on a GM vehicle by cleaning the armature in the little electric motor inside it. They call them solenoids, but they're really motors. I suspect the Nissan actuators are similar, judging from the sound they make.

There's a less likely chance it could be a wiring or BCM problem, so I'd recommend checking the voltage at the connector before replacing the actuator itself. That's described on page BL-45 of the '07 service manual.
