Default Taillights not working.

Hello all,
I have a 03 touring and the other day my friend was driving behind me and told me by brake lights were not working. I know they were working about a week before so this is recent.

Both of the lights are not functioning when braking but the park / city lights work when the lights are switched on. Also the third brake light does not turn on while braking just incase anyone were to suggest both the bulbs went out at the same time

Anyway, the car has stock tails and no wiring was modified anywhere. I checked the fuses by the battery but I saw none for taillights and they all looked to be good anyway.

Is there something I am missing?

Is there another fuse box besides the one by the battery?

Did you replace the bulbs anyway?

Just did. No difference.

Just checked, they all also seem to be good. Swapped the brake one anyway but no difference.

I have never seen anything like it. It almost seems like something just broke a wire in the middle. I may have to break out the meter and start testing voltage in various places.
